This was a great post! I'm going through the same thing you described. I'm watching my 4 1/2 year old daughter go through major growth spurts. She will be shedding her 4T's as well for spring/summer...and I'm going through mixed emotions about this. Just today I was shopping and went into the
4-6x section to see if there were any differences in the clothes. Some of the clothes were similar to 4T but then there were the ones that seemed much more "grown-up."

On the flip side, I just had my 2nd daughter in June 2008 - same season as my 1st daughter so the trip to the attic to get those baby clothes was resurrected last summer. It was very nice to be able to 1.) re-use the baby clothes again 2.) relive the sweet baby stages, like you said. And since she's still in the baby clothes, I'll slowly and eventually handle my 1st daughter moving to the "4-6x section of the store", knowing she'll always still be my baby girl.
